Overview

The beginning:

In April 2013, Bob from the Lichfield Rangers thought it would be a good idea for neighbouring ranger groups to meet up.

With this in mind Bob contacted the Stafford group to see if they were interested in a get together somewhere. Dave, the Stafford Rangers group co-ordinator said he was interested and would love to meet up. We decided on the Kingfisher cafe at Fradley Junction near Lichfield as the place to meet and meet we did. So, this is how the Staffordshire Ranger Groups meet-ups all started.

After meeting up with the Stafford group everyone felt it was a really worthwhile exercise and we should try to develop it. So, Bob decided to create this blog to keep a record of everything. If you go to the 'News' page of this blog you'll see photos and a summary of the subsequent meet-ups which continue to be really enjoyable and also a useful way of exchanging ideas.

One of the hopes for the future is that we can work together to link up all of our routes. Links like the 'missing link' of NCN 5 across Cannock Chase and other much needed links across the county. Progress on the 'missing link' of NCN 5 can be seen on the 'Chase Rangers' blog.
